Alibi Grid
A lineup of suspects, a handful of true testimonies and one rule: you may only accuse what you can prove.
How to play
Each case is a 3×3 or 4×4 grid of townsfolk, and everything they say is true – even the culprits. Read the testimonies you have, work out who must be Innocent or Guilty, and stamp them. Every correct stamp reveals that person's testimony and opens the next deduction; if you try to stamp someone before the evidence proves it, the game stops you with "Not enough evidence" and counts a guess.
Features
- Never a guess: every puzzle has exactly one solution and can always be solved by logic alone. No lives, no game over.
- Case Files: 20 cases with a gentle difficulty curve across two districts, the Night Market and the Harbor, then endless generated cases. Each district brings new jobs and new kinds of clues.
- Daily Case: the same puzzle for everyone each day, a streak counter, and a spoiler-free emoji grid to share your result.
- Clues that point for you: reading a testimony highlights the row, column or neighbors it talks about, so you never have to count cells.
- Notebook listing every testimony revealed so far, plus two levels of hints when you get stuck.
- Stars for clean solves (no guesses, no "next suspect" hint), timer and personal stats.
- Progress saves automatically in your browser, including an unfinished case.
- Available in 10 languages.
Controls
- Desktop: click a suspect, then choose Innocent or Guilty. Keyboard: arrow keys or WASD to move, I = Innocent, G = Guilty, Enter or Space to open or read a suspect, N = notebook, H = hint (Shift+H = next suspect hint), Esc = pause, M = mute.
- Mobile: tap a suspect, then tap Innocent or Guilty. Tap a suspect whose testimony is revealed to read it. Designed for portrait, one-handed play.
Supported browsers
Recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile (Android and iOS). Best played in portrait on phones; use the fullscreen button on desktop.
